they are quite cheap in argos or you could rent one from wedding suppliers hhope you have a lovely day you deserve it

I have to say that a chocolate fountain does sound fantastic. However, being a practical woman I think a mixture of Running Chocolate, drunk guests and a white dress to be a recipe for disaster.

Personally speaking (as disastrous things tend to happen to me) I'd keep things a little less runny.

You can buy or rent a chocolate fountain. Or do something else.

1) Depending on your state, look up chocolate fountain companies or ask your caterer if they can recommend someone. If you're in the bay area in California, check out "California Chocolate Fountains." See http://www.CaliforniaChocolateFountains.com

2) You can also buy a chocolate fountain from Costco, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

3) Or you can abandon the chocolate fountain and instead go for chocolate fondues. Just buy the bowls and melt the chocolate. Set up a table with "dippable" goodies and long skewers and have your guests enjoy the chocolate. You can also flavor the chocolate with liquors like Baileys, Grand Marinier, etc.

To all the other answerers who told her it was a bad idea. She did not ask if she should have one. So keep your opinons about it to yourself. It is her special day NOT YOURS!!!

Ebay is a good option if you want to buy one. They currently have 183 items for the title chocolate fountain. (at 1:00 P.M. Eastern)

You could also ask your bakery where you are getting your cake if they have one available for rent. They might be willing to cut you a deal if they have one available.

Also check with your local party supply/rental store. If your party is being catered ask if they have one available or if they know where you could get one.

I honestly would not buy one. Rent one if you must have one…but it's just like the fondue pot.

It will come and go back and forth from popularity to taboo.

a, Messy

b, Overrated

c, Over priced

d, Naff

Don't do it, they are now such a cliche that they are turning in to a real chav must have

Take my advice and think of something else you could use the money on, don't buy one as the cheap ones are REALLY cheap and nasty and to hire one is so expensive

Chocolate fountains are becoming quite popular and are easily found in stores like Walmart, Target, Williams-Sonoma, etc. If you don't want to purchase one outright, try renting one from a party supply company.
